Your iPhone, on your laptop
01 — The problemNo iPhone button on Windows

Windows can't show an iPhone.

So every mobile demo from a Windows laptop turns into a workaround.

  • Join the call again from the phone

Your app shows up small, in a second video tile. Notifications pop up mid-demo, and you juggle two devices.

  • Point a webcam at the phone

Glare, shaky hands and tiny text. It looks improvised, and the client notices.

  • Hope the mirroring app holds up

Watermarks, ten-minute limits, or it simply doesn't appear in the list, right when everyone is watching.

MirrorDock: one window, a real-looking iPhone. Share it like any other app.

02 — In the meetingSlides + live app, one screen

What your client sees.

Present your slides as usual. Your live iPhone app floats right on top of them, so when you share your screen the client sees both, together, in real time. No second device in the call, no camera pointed at a phone.

03 — Why MirrorDockThree promises
  1. 01

    It just shows up.

MirrorDock keeps announcing itself the way the iPhone expects, so it appears in Screen Mirroring even on Wi-Fi where other apps stay invisible. If something does block it, MirrorDock tells you what and how to fix it.

    • No cable
    • No iPhone app
    • Tells you what's wrong
  2. 02

    Looks like a real iPhone.

Your screen sits inside a realistic iPhone frame that floats on the desktop, with no window border and no black bars. Resize it from any corner, keep it on top, or go full screen.

    • Floating phone
    • Rounded screen
    • Always on top
    • Full screen
  3. 03

    Present like a pro.

Drive the iPhone with your laptop mouse, circle what matters with a pen, and record the whole demo with your voice to send afterwards.

08 — QuestionsStraight answers

Good questions.

Is it really free?

Yes. MirrorDock is in its pilot and every feature is free: no watermark, no time limit, no account. Later we plan a paid version for teams; the free version will stay genuinely useful.

Do I need a cable, or an app on my iPhone?

No. MirrorDock uses the Screen Mirroring button that's already in your iPhone's Control Centre. The iPhone and the laptop just need to be on the same Wi-Fi.

How do I show it in Teams, Google Meet or Zoom?

Mirror the iPhone first, then share your screen in the meeting as you normally would. The iPhone floats on your desktop like any other window, so everyone sees it. Turn on Do Not Disturb on the iPhone so no messages pop up mid-demo.

Will it work on my office Wi-Fi?

Usually, yes: MirrorDock was built to be found on networks where other mirroring apps aren't. Some guest, hotel and conference networks stop devices from seeing each other at all. Then connect the laptop and the iPhone to another network together, for example the iPhone's Personal Hotspot.

Is my screen sent anywhere?

No. The picture goes straight from your iPhone to your laptop over your own network. Nothing is uploaded, there's no account, and MirrorDock doesn't track you.

Can I really control the iPhone with my mouse?

Yes, using the laptop's Bluetooth. Turn on AssistiveTouch on the iPhone, pair it with the laptop once, and do a ten-second setup. Then click to tap, right-click for the AssistiveTouch menu, and scroll to scroll. Control is brand new, so tell us how it works for you.

Does it work with iPad?

Yes. iPads mirror the same way, from Control Centre.

Windows says “Windows protected your PC”. Is it safe?

That message appears for new apps from small makers that haven't built up a reputation with Microsoft yet. Click More info, then Run anyway. MirrorDock is open source, so anyone can read exactly what it does.

What about Android phones, or Macs?

MirrorDock is made for Windows laptops. Android phones are on our list for later. There's no Mac version planned for now.

Who makes MirrorDock?

A small independent team. MirrorDock is built on the open-source UxPlay project and is open source itself (GPL-3.0). See the code.
